A Terra Team Earthbender armor process, as I'm making a costume and was curious about it's construction.
Step 1- Under Armor
The Earthbender begins with a light Hitatare (robe) and a modified Hakama (pants). The forearms and shins are wrapped with a heavy cloth/leather, leaving the feet free to touch the ground.
Step 2- Chest
A heavy cloth Do (cuirass) covers the back and chest. Also added is a Kusazuri (tasset) that covers the groin and front of the legs.
The Earth Kindom's symbol (the coin) is placed on the stomach of the Do, instead of the chest. I believe this has to do with the signifigance of the stomach, where Stomach "Qi" is the foundation of life in the body, and thus is spiritually protected by the symbol of the kingdom, the symbol of strength.
Closer inspection of the Terra Team's armor shows that they are actually wearing a more segmented piece of armor on the legs, but I'm opting for a simpler leather wrap.
BlueLucied, I've look at pages 1, 2, and 3 of the Terra Team Earthbender Armor and I wanted to know where exactly you get these components. Do you make all these parts yourself? For example, did you make the light hitatare robe yourself or did you buy it from an online source?

Sadly, I haven't made any of this yet, due to life sucking rather hard. I'm sure you can make the under-robe using the Gi pattern I've seen floating around in fabric stores, but you can probably find something that will work online.
This will be made at some point. Life just gets in the way of the fun things.
I've used this [link] for the starting idea for the hitatare robe, and this [link] from a great guy here on DA when it came to planning out the armor.

Your response would be greatly appreciated!
